Our Review

The Basilea Hotel is situated in a peaceful little street, yet is a central location, as there are plenty of shops and restaurants close by. The hotel has simple comfortable guestrooms decorated in a traditional Venetian style, and equipped with standard amenities. The hotel does not have a restaurant, though there are plenty of restaurants and cafes in area. This is a good option for budget travellers.

The Basilea Hotel is located in the Santa Croce area of the city, which has great access for the Santa Lucia train station. City attractions like St Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes. The area also has good transport links, so for those who prefer, they can get around easily on the vaporetto (waterbus).
